Choosing the right product lineup is one of the most important factors in craft show and online sales success. The right mix of pricing, product diversity, and customer-driven choices can help you maximize revenue and avoid sitting on unsold inventory.
After years of testing at craft markets and online sales through Shopify, I’ve learned what works (and what doesn’t) when curating a product lineup. Let’s break it down!

1. Start With a Variety of Price Points
Customers come in with different budgets, and offering a mix of low, mid, and high-priced items gives you a better chance of making a sale.
Here’s the pricing structure that works best for me:
✅ Low-Cost Impulse Buys ($1-$10)
- $3 stickers (our best-selling item!)
- 4 for $10 sticker bundles (almost everyone takes this deal)
- Small add-ons like buttons, keychains, and patches
✅ Mid-Range Best Sellers ($10-$40)
- Pill cases, enamel pins, cigarette cases (one of our biggest revenue drivers!)
- Tote bags, prints, and accessories
- “Buy 3, Get 1 Free” deals for items over $5
✅ High-End Statement Pieces ($40+)
- Large art prints, unique limited-edition products
- These may not be best-sellers, but they add credibility and value to the booth
💡 What I learned: I used to only sell stickers, and I had to make way more sales just to break even at shows. Once I diversified my price points and added products like pill cases, cigarette cases, and tote bags, my revenue skyrocketed.
2. Bundle & Discount Strategically
People love deals, and giving customers a goal makes a huge difference.
🔹 “Buy More, Save More” Bundles
- 4 for $10 stickers
- Buy 3, get 1 free on anything over $5
🔹 Curated Mystery Packs
- Mystery Sticker Packs ($15) – This became a top-seller after I repurposed older sticker designs that didn’t sell individually.
- Surprise enamel pin or print bundles
💡 What I learned: Bundles make people buy more without feeling like they’re overspending. My mystery packs took off after I repurposed unsold stickers from 2021-2023, turning leftover inventory into profit.
3. Track What Sells (And What Doesn’t)
Every craft show teaches you something new about your customers.
✅ What sells out? Bring more next time
✅ What flops? Remove it from the lineup
✅ What do customers keep asking for? Consider adding it
🔹 Best-Sellers at My Markets:
- Stickers & cigarette cases (always placed front and center)
- Mystery sticker packs
- Tote bags (originally free with a $35+ purchase, but customers wanted to buy them!)
🔹 Worst-Sellers & Lessons Learned:
- Enamel pins – Always been slow sellers, but I’m testing new designs to see if that changes.
- Greeting cards – My biggest failure. The market was too competitive, and I still have leftover inventory two years later.
- Mini stickers – Sell amazing online but never in person. Now, I only bring them in mystery packs instead of wasting table space.
💡 What I learned: Markets are the best way to test new products before committing to large-scale production. I don’t rely on algorithms—I watch how people interact with my products in real life.
4. Use Data to Refine Your Lineup
Looking at my analytics help me make smarter product decisions.
✅ Online vs. In-Person Sales:
- What sells in person isn’t always the same as what sells online.
- Mini stickers are my #1 online seller but completely flop at markets.
✅ Wholesale Opportunities:
- Products that do well in person usually work great for wholesale orders at local retailers.
- Tracking in-person sales helps me pitch products to stockists confidently.
✅ Expanding Product Lines Based on Data:
- Cigarette/joint cases sold so well that I am working on expanded into rolling trays and other smoke products.
- Tote bags became a hit after being offered as a freebie—now they’re a permanent product.
💡 What I learned: Keeping in-person and online data separate helps me make better decisions about wholesale, product development, and booth setup.
